Class  of 1982 - 1983

Tu nyau going back in time, ngenang maya sekula menya.  Leboh maya sekula menya, enda sabar ka nganti badu sekula.  Ya meh udah badu sekula, ingin asai ka pulai ke sekula baru.  ish..ish..kitai mensia sigi enda nemu contented.

My classmates in Form 4 science E.  wah!..I can still remember the class name.  Notice that there's no teacher there?  Because we have no class teacher at that time.  'Anak tebiar' grup kami tu.

Form 5 Sci B.  Baru bisi proper class teacher.  I forget his name already but still remembers his nickname, "Mr. Kulum", sempena nama one of the electrical terms in our physics lesson.  By the way, I hate physics, the mere mention of the subject name makes me fall asleep instantly, but managed to pass la in MCE.

 

The Kolej choir.  One fine day, our pricipal at that time, Cikgu Adi Badiozaman Tuah called EtE and Tuni Badak to his office.  Apu..keketap dada wondering nama meh penyalah.  Rupa rupa nya ngasoh kami dua ngepun ke Kolej choir.  Ya..ampun, bukan main suspense ati nya tadi.  Nya...this is our official choir group.  The guitarist were Paul and Tuni.

I do not know what happen to the rest, but Sharifah is now in KL (enjinia Sell), Tuni is also in Sell, selalu ngau bepansa and selalu ayan ba belug Indu Emun Gaya. (IEG, tu kira promote belug nuan, hehe)

Berita terkini ku dinga, Simon diatu dah nyadi tokay kelapa sawit. The last time I met Anthony Lidom was when he interviewed me for a clerical position at Petronas Carigali.  Nyaaa...from classmate to interviewer.

Sigi tekenyit katak meh EtE meda ya.  Maya sekul menya sigi ya nya meh di kenchadi ke Ete ngajar add maths, laban ke berimbai meja. But EtE lingkup anyway.  I hate Add Maths!

The orientation week.  Kena buli diasoh parade fancy dress.  Sinu ngenang kami kelia maya agi freshie di buli sida senior.  Bisi keda di asoh ngitung pun kayu.  Fortunately no violence at that time.

Maya santai santai at Luak Beach.  Ya ke megai guitar nya Gloria aka 'jerry'.  She called me 'Tom'; kami duai selalu begagai ba hostel.  he..he..  The one in checked shirt has passed away in a car accident recently.  Sediss EtE ninga.

Form 4, I stayed at Murai hostel; famous for the ghost of the 'green lady', tang meh enda kala ngau bepansa.

Mayoh kenangan sweet sour Ete maya sekula menya; can write 1 book about it.  Overall, Ete had a wonderful schooling time and best of all, Ete am still able to meet/contact some of my previous classmates.
Puji Tuhan laban kitai dipanjangkan umur agi ulih betemu.  Ete had attended quite a few reunion dinners/events organised by previous classmates.  Rindu ati meda perubahan siko siko.

Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah

Actually refers to yesterday, 24 Feb 2011.

Pulai EtE nganjung anak ke sekula laban bisi activity lemai, enda mukai2, di tuju lori reverse.

Maya nya benong ka datai ba area parking semak upis.  Angkat deh lori di depan ngetu, so EtE pun ngetu ga.  Peda dah nya alu reverse (meda reverse light), alu engkajat meh Endu Tupai ka ngehon, enda ga hon memunyi.  Tambah mega kereta kancil Seraiwangi, so enda teleba.  By the time ka narit reverse gear, burit lori dah niki atas bunet kereta.  Almaklum enda teleba ngau manual gear.  Nyerauh meh Endu Tupai dalam kerita, sapa ke ninga? 

Sigi ngumbai diri 'enyau' meh diimpit lori dalam ati.  Surut ke belakang kancil di ju ke lori.  Dah nya lori alu ngetu, engka nyepi utai nyelai ari belakang.  Apu!  alu pansut ari kereta meh EtE sambil nganu dreba lori 'lapa dek enda meda aku?? Utai ke bansa nya meh!  Puji Tuhan, dreba nya enda jenis kemseng.  Otherwise kada enda EtE di kerja ya pula, walaupun ya salah.

Ya madah, enda meda aku, laban kancil ku cun cun ba 'blindspot'.  Kancil la kata kan.  Akai...nyau getar2 meh Endu Tupai, nyau nun ngenat ke diri enda nemu nama utai ka gaga. Alu mansa security campus, alu ngangau ke bala ba upis, ngangau ke seraiwangi; sigi ngadang diri di anu seraiwangi.  Sempat ga ngereput to Papatupai ke benong dalam meeting.

Last last ke upis lori nya tadi, alu settle diak, anjung ke workshop, sida ya mayar.  Menijar ya pun minta maap.  Endu Tupai besyukur laban nadai nama2.  Tuhan bisi ngelindung. 

Udah semua utai settle, nya baru EtE berasai sedih, laban memikirkan what if...................

Belubang bunet ya.  Kasih seraiwangi, dahlah kisuk ke anak ya ke sakit nya, nyau kiruh ga beranjong kereta ke workshop.  I feel so guilty even if its not my fault.

Lori tu nganjong barang ke kampus.  Barang ke di anjung semina 1 kotak mit umbah san, tang meh ngai enda ngena lori ngemesai nya.

Girl Guide day

22 February - Today is the birthday of Lady Baden Powell, the founder of Girl Guides.  The world also remembers this date as the starting of the Girl Guide movement.  Di menoa kitai, they called it Pandu Puteri.

Endu Tupai maya sekula menya very active in this movement during my lower secondary years.  Every saturday afternoon, kami nurun meeting.  Our activities were going hiking sebelah babas ba area Tanjong beach, camping ba St Joseph's Sec Sch grounds.  Wah! rindu mai maya nya.

Enti maya interschool sports meet, kami tu sigi paling sibuk megai sepandok school ke taking part.  Agi ingat kelia, our favourite schools were from Long Lama and Marudi, because their marching were so good and synchronised.  Sekula ke ba bandar Miri jauh alah.  Makes me wonder, why the ulu students can perform so much better.  Endu Dara Tupai (maya nya suba deh) sigi berebut rebut ngau bala geng ka ngambi sepandok school sida ke ari ulu.

Udah Endu Dara Tupai masok higher secondary ba KTDTHB, tepaksa meh ngemadu kediri, nyau nadai ari ka nurun meeting, teranspot pun tusah, ukai baka diatu.

Tu maya kami camping ba St Joe Sec Sch maya Endu Dara Tupai form 2 (1980)  Nyau tuai magang bala dek jara.

Anak Dara Tupai nadai nitih jejak langkah EtE.  Anang ka di bai hiking sebelah babas, dipansa indu butterfly pun dah lari lintang pukang.  Enti sema indu utai tesat masuk ke rumah, sigi bendar Ete nyerauh nangi enggai ke bala sida bantes ambih pecah endor ya ngelari ke diri sebelah rumah.

15.2.11 (Public Holiday)

Wah..best nyer, today is public holiday ko Endu Tupai, ka ngaga tai mata mayoh mayoh today keno.  Benong Ete kisuk ngemas rumah, papa tupai pun dani alu madah, aram bejalai kitai today.  huhh?? EtE blurr..(dlm ati madah enda nyadi meh ngaga tai mata.)

Lepas semua bala tentera dah siap, papa tupai mai nurun tang meh gari dalam washing machine bedau mansau.  Enda ngawa gak, enda lama kitai bejalai lege kan?  Pulai lege nyembi ya, ko Ete madah ke papa tupai.

Then we have breakfast at permy food court, mayoh amai orang diak.  Udah nya ke pasar miri, nganjung seluar sekula anak EtE ke kedai ngerepair zip (Dlm setaun berapa kali repair).  Tokayneo madah lemai lege ngambi, they close at 5pm.

Udah nya di bai papa tupai sight seeing sebelah pasar Miri and up to Bakam ngecheck bubuk and ikan.  Endai.... ko MIL (Mother in Law), aram kitai ngabas Kampung Bungai Bekenu, lama enda kia.  So off we go, bala anak semua kemplen, buring ko sida.  Halfway through, papa tupai said, why not we go to Niah, lama enda meda Niah.  That's where we end up.  Bisi EtE suggest why not we go Bintulu then?  Semua orang nyerauh...'enggai".

Lelak bejajai ngetu ngirup sekejap di kedai.  Asai ba koboi town.

We left Batu Niah at about 2pm, nengah jalai lama, ka meda .  Datai di Miri about 4 napat ke kedai nukar zip nya tadi, meda nyau tutup.  Aiee...tadi madah close at 5pm.

We finally arrive at home nyau ka pukul 6.  Gari dalam washing machine nyau overcooked.  The next day meh nyembi ya.

Celebrating Love?

As the whole world knows, today, 14 February is Valentine's day.  Would not go into the details of it's origin but  it was in remembrance of a sacrificial love.

Today it has become so commercialised that Valentine's day means giving away love cards, red roses that once cost a ringgit per stem to ten ringgit per stem; and people still buy it!, chocolates and teddy bears.  Those who received this things from their loved ones will be grinning from ear to ear.  Those who do not, huhu...can sulk the whole day.

But fear not, for those who think they are forgotten take heart; it could be due to the following:

1. Your partner thinks its not practical to spend money on roses only to see it wilt and become dry flowers the next day.  Not to mention the chocolates will make you fat and teddy bears are reserved for kids. Lucky you, if he thought of buying you a car instead!

2.  He's not the romantic kind (like papa tupai) and can't even remember his own kids birthdays, let alone Valentine's day.

3.  He thinks, its only for Mat Sallehs.

But, look at this way, he loves you (in his own special way; its proven, men are not good at expressing love because they are from Mars..ha.ha.ha), he provides for you,  he is a responsible father and most of all he is faithful to you.  Now isn't that a better gift than flowers, chocolates and teddy bears which are here today and gone tommorow?

Let's not forget, we have received the greatest love gift of all; when Christ died for our sins and we are forgiven.  Let's make today as a day to celebrate that greatest love of all.

What did I get today?  Nothing, but I know love is in the air.

Kilang Bantes di Ng Latak

December 2008.  Keluarga Endu Tupai plus keluarga brother and sister in law bisi ngaga prugrim nemuai ke Ng Latak - (munyi ko Indai Dara), KL meh nya.  Ukai semina Ng Latak, alu niki ke Genting Highlands, dah nya terjun ke Melaka.  Bendar amat muai duit and ngelelak diri for about 8 days.

Aha....Endu Tupai sigi enda muai peluang nemuai ngagai Kilang bantes.  Papa Tupai tinggal bak Util enggai enggau.  Buring ko ya

Tu gambar kenangan bak kilang lama ya suba.  Diatu nyau pindah sida ko Kesulai laban tempat tu nyau mit (bisnes maju deh)

Alu la berangan angan, kemaya meh rumah ku baka tu, keno.  Nganti duit seguni laboh ari langit munyi ko Sebugay.  Pansut ari nya, Endu Tupai bisi la ngangkut sekutak bantes. (Enda besai, umbas san - barang reject semua).  Hangap2 dreba kami meda laban berunding dini ka nepo.  Puas ati Endu Tupai dah datai ditu.  Dream come true, ko ribai.

Tu ba showroom baru sida di PJ. Kesulai dah ngabas empai lama.  Manah amat ko ya, tang jauh and pedis ngiga teksi.  Ngarap ke kaban ke diau di menoa Ng Latak meh mai kia.  Oh..Indai Dara, bisi ari jemah ila kami ngiga nuan.  he..he..

Naka meh pemanah.  Duit ja tanya.

Ba bagian 'reject corner'.  Tu meh ke selalu di tapat ngulih ke murah gik.  Not much difference from the 1st quality.  Enti enda merning amat, nadai orang nemu deh.  Ka pinsan meda pemurah utai ditok enti dibanding enggau rega asal.

Udah bisi home furnishing products sida bantes diatu.  Rega ya, alah rega Laura Ashley.

5.2.11  Ngirup lemai at Embau's place.

Amat lama dah Endu Tupai enda lepak at Embau's place.  Nyau lelengau, so last saturday, aku, Kesulai and Indai Gani bisi nemuai ke rumah ya.

Meda ari enda ngetu ujan, nyau irau Kesulai ngumbai enda nyadi, but Endu Tupai said, redah aja, rain or shine.  Sebedau datai din, ngiga orang nguring cucur pisang, nadai ga bisi meda.  (Agi syok cuti kini)  Last last bedal aja utai dempa ba stesen petronas nearby.

Peda gamal Embau, engka nganu Indai Gani ngambi ruti.

EtE sigi udah mesan Embau, ngirup teh mesti ngena tset germany series bantes.  Kami tu meh orang pertama ngena tu. he..he..

Manah amai sudu teh.

Tu gamal utai dempa beli ba stesen petronas.

Udah nya Embau menyampaikan berita yang tidak menggembirakan.  Laki ya di teranspa ke Bintulu, mina nganti surat aja baru pindah.  Nayyyy...nyau muyok mua kami tiga ninga.  Patut ati Ete dua tiga menjak tu asyik kesit kesit ka ngusung Embau.

Tang meh nadai ga ngawa, enda jauh, agi ulih gagai ngau kerita.
